Vallecito Lake is 8000' above sea level and the 3rd largest man made lake in Colorado with a surface area of 2,700 acres.  The lake is approximately 5 miles long and l.5 miles wide.  Lake capacity is approximately 120,000 acre feet.  The water level fluctuates through the summer and the lake freezes over in the winter.
